What Can A Jetter Clear?
An eel pokes a hole through a choke. A jetter washes the whole pipe wall. That difference shows up with:
- Kitchen fat coated around the inside of a waste pipe, which an eel pushes past but never removes
- Silt and sand lying along a flat run, lifted up and carried out by the water
- Root growth in the joints, chopped out by a nozzle matched to the pipe size
- Flushed right through to the sewer instead of shoved further along
To see the fault on film before anything is cleared, start with a CCTV drain inspection.
How Do You Know Jetting Fits?
The recording decides. We film first, and the recording reveals whether the pipe holds soft build-up that water can move, or a broken or sunken section that no amount of water pressure will fix.
Signs that point to a jetter:
- Water going down, but slowly, in more than one fixture at a time
- A pipe that was cleared before and has choked again
- The toilet gurgling while the washing machine empties
- A grate outside overflowing in rain, which points to the stormwater drains side of things
How We Jet A Line
- 01
The camera goes in first and shows the choke, its cause and its distance along the line.
- 02
We pick a nozzle to suit the pipe size and material and feed the hose in from the nearest opening.
- 03
The pump drives water along the walls while the hose moves forward, cutting roots and pushing silt out toward the sewer.
- 04
The camera goes back in so you can see the clean pipe for yourself.
What Moves The Price
We provide up-front, honest quotes that will always match the final price, should you decide to go ahead.
The number depends on:
- Distance With a choke deep along the line keeping the pump running longer than one near the opening
- Getting in Since a covered or missing inspection opening has to be found before any hose goes down
- What is in the pipe With loose silt shifting quicker than a thick mat of roots
- The filming Before and after, which is built into the job, not added on

Jetting Questions Before You Book
Does drain jetting use chemicals?
No. A jetter is a pump and a hose pushing ordinary water hard enough to strip the pipe clean. Nothing caustic goes into your drain or leaks into the soil around it, which matters on sandy lakeside ground where anything poured down a pipe ends up heading for the water.
Will the jetter cut through tree roots in my sewer line?
Yes. A root-cutting nozzle on the end of the hose chops the growth away and the water carries the pieces off. Roots come back through the joint they used, so once the filming shows that joint we can price closing it, instead of you booking another clear next year.
Can jetting fix a stormwater pit that floods in a storm?
It clears the pipe the pit drains into. On the flat, low blocks near the shore, groundwater lies shallow and those pipes carry silt and run slowly even in dry weather. Jetting takes the silt out, though a very heavy storm can still beat a pipe with so little fall.
Do I need to be home while the jetter runs?
An adult needs to be there to agree the fixed price before we start and to see the pipe flowing at the end. The hose works from an opening outside or under the floor, so the water and the noise stay with the drain and away from the living areas.
