Valentine Drain Services
Six kinds of drain work, each with its own page:
CCTV Drain Inspection
A camera filmed down the line to find the fault, its depth and its distance from the opening.
Drain Jetting
High-pressure water scrubbing fat, sand and roots from inside the pipe.
Blocked Sewer
Toilet, shower and kitchen waste backing up, traced to the choke and cleared.
Stormwater Drains
Roof and yard water that has nowhere to go when pits and pipes fill with debris.
Pipe Relining
A resin sleeve cured inside a cracked pipe so the garden and driveway stay put.
Tree Root Removal
Root growth cut from the line and the joint it came through pinned down on film.
Why Do Drains Block Beside The Lake?
Beside the lake the causes sit in the ground more than in the kitchen sink:
- Root growth from mature trees and gardens finding the joints of buried pipes and coming back each season
- Sand from the lakeside soil slipping into older pipes and building up as silt
- A high water table under the low blocks near the shore, which slows the flow in buried lines
- Heavy downpours overloading stormwater pits on the foreshore side of the suburb
The Ground Under These Streets
Sand in the soil
A high water table
Storm runoff to the shore
Old trees near the park
How Is A Drain Job Priced?
We provide up-front, honest quotes that will always match the final price, should you decide to go ahead.
You know the number before a spade goes in or the jetter starts.
"He spoke to us about what not to use, what to avoid and even double checked the issue had resolved." Mitchell
The price moves with:
- How easy the blockage is to reach, since a choke under pavers or deep in the backyard takes longer than one near an opening
- The pipe it sits in, because an original line and a newer PVC one call for different repair methods
- What the fix turns out to be: a clear on its own, a patch at one joint or a full-length reline
- When you need us, with work outside business hours charged at a higher rate
How The Clearing Runs
- 01
Ring or send the form
Call (02) 4093 0558 or use the form to explain the fault. We ask enough to bring the right equipment the first time.
- 02
A fixed price first
A plumber inspects the job and names a fixed figure up front. Nothing gets started until you give the go-ahead.
- 03
Camera, clear, re-check
The camera finds the blockage, the jetter or eel shifts it, and a second filmed run shows the line flowing before we leave.
- 04
Covered for a year
Every job carries our 365-day warranty on all work. If something we did isn't right, ring the same number.
Where Does Our Side Of The Drain End?
Your drains are private up to the point where they join the public sewer, and that main is Hunter Water's. When we're not the right call: if the footage shows the blockage past that connection, the fix belongs to Hunter Water, and we hand you the recording to show them.
Sewage coming up inside the house, day or night, is an emergency call rather than a booking.
Drain Questions From The Foreshore Streets
Do you put a camera down before and after clearing a drain in Valentine?
Yes, on every clear. The first run shows what the blockage is and what caused it, the jetter or eel removes it, and the second run is your proof that water is flowing through the whole pipe again. The footage is yours to keep.
The same drain blocks every year. Is something deeper wrong?
Probably. A blockage that forms in the same place again and again points to a broken or open joint that lets roots or sand in, and no amount of clearing fixes a joint. Filming it shows where that joint is, and a patch or reline closes it.
Is drain jetting safe for older pipes?
We film the pipe before the jetter goes in. If the walls look thin or cracked, the pressure is turned down or the electric eel is used instead. Jetting is plain water under pressure, so nothing chemical is left behind in the line.
Does the sandy soil here make drains block faster?
It can. Close to the shore, fine sand works its way into older drains through tired joints and builds up as a layer of silt along the bottom of the pipe. The camera shows how deep it is, and the jetter washes it out before it sets hard.
